Civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of the different building trades
- Knowledge of safety systems and wearing personal protective equipment
- Discretion and duty of confidentiality
- Availability
- Valid driving licence (category B) essential
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift loads
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- A valid driving licence (category B) is essential
- During school terms, hours follow the school opening times
- Work is indoors and outdoors, in all weather
- Lifting loads and handling dangerous tools and machines
