Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired, because the entry grade is category C.

The profile they look for:
- Able to use and drive maintenance machines and tools.
- Good knowledge of routine maintenance work.
- Strictly follow safety rules.
- Team spirit and good people skills.
- Public service mindset, versatility and autonomy.
- Punctuality and ability to report on your work.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website. Send a CV and a cover letter to the head of technical services.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- On-call duty on a 5-week cycle.
- Remote work not possible.
- Physical work, sometimes in bad weather.
- Open grades: technical assistant, principal technical assistant, maintenance supervisor.
