1 Check the conditions You are here
Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C. Grades: adjoint technique, adjoint technique principal 2nd or 1st class.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know electrical, mechanical, plumbing and joinery techniques.
- Know green space maintenance methods.
- Be able to read a manual, a plan or an instruction.
- Apply safety rules and know the risks of products.
- Have good physical stamina, rigour and a sense of public service.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website. You can also send your CV and cover letter to the town hall, by post or by email.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Work outdoors in all weather, with annualised hours.
- Driving licence B required; BE and C licences preferred.
- Electrical authorisation, AIPR operator and Certiphyto where needed.
- No remote work possible.
