Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly for this entry-level category C grade (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence category B.
- Work in a small team, with organisation, autonomy and rigour.
- Spot and report faults in a building or a machine.
- Apply health and safety rules at work.
- A public service mindset and good people skills with residents and elected officials.
- Availability, with hours that may be irregular or outside normal times.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 30 (Closes in 31 days)
Send your application to the town hall, by post or by email, before 30 November 2026. Follow the instructions in the official offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- The post is vacant from 1 January 2027.
- Remote work is not possible.
- A driving licence category B is required.
- Hours may be irregular or outside normal times.
