Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the entry grade of category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Plumbing experience is preferred.
The profile they look for:
- Know the basic techniques of the main building trades.
- Plumbing experience is preferred.
- Hold a category B driving licence.
- Operate motorised equipment and tools.
- Know safety rules and risk prevention guidelines.
- Show teamwork, autonomy, initiative and responsiveness.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: October 31 (Closes tomorrow)
Apply on the employer's website, or send your application by email or by post to the office of the community's president.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- CNAS benefits and contribution to supplementary health and income protection insurance.
- Category C post, vacant from 1 December 2026.
- Electrical authorisation and CACES certificate are an advantage.
