Civil servants (titulaires) and contract agents can apply. The job is open without a competitive exam, because an entry-level category C grade allows direct hiring.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence category B required.
- General technical skills.
- Good team spirit.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety rules.
- Independence, rigour and initiative.
- Good physical fitness.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's site from the official offer, or send your CV and cover letter by post to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Category B driving licence required; categories C and CE would be a plus. CACES and electrical certification if possible.
- Full-time, 35 hours per week; 4 or 4.5 day week possible.
- On-call duty on weekends about once every 6 weeks.
