Civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it. Grades: adjoint technique, adjoint technique principal 1st or 2nd class.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Diploma in the building trades

- Ability to report back and lead a team
- Good organisation and teamwork skills
- Follows safety rules
- Electrical authorisation is a plus
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Work at height, long periods standing or kneeling, and lifting loads.
- Remote work is not possible.
- Holiday dates depend on service needs.
