Open to civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, as the grade is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Basic building skills: plumbing, electricity, carpentry, painting.
- Good use of power tools and maintenance equipment.
- Able to diagnose a simple fault.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety.
- Driving licence (permis B) essential.
- Independent, rigorous and versatile.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
