Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly for this category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and carpentry work
- Knowledge of building safety and maintenance rules
- Good observation, rigour and quick reactions
- Able to work in a team and follow instructions
- Public service mindset and professional discretion
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 3 (Closes in 5 days)
Send your cover letter and CV to the Mayor (Monsieur le Maire). You apply through the employer's website, linked from the official offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
