Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Multi-skilled, independent and able to work as a team.
- Experience in building trades, public spaces and roads.
- Driving licence B and R482 certificates categories A and B1.
- Spot faults in a structure, equipment or machine.
- Follow health and safety rules.
- Careful with equipment and discreet with the public.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's site, or send a CV and a handwritten cover letter to the town hall by post or email.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:

- Remote work is not possible.
- Driving licence B required, with R482 categories A and B1.
