Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service competitive exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade of category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted
The profile they look for:
- Be volunteer-minded, motivated and rigorous.
- Understand product labels and machine instructions.
- Know basic safety rules and risks for the public.
- Be a team player with a sense of public service.
- Be open to training.
- Hold a car driving licence.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 30 (Closes in 31 days)
Send your CV and cover letter by email or by post to the town hall. You can also apply on the employer's website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- On-call duty on a rota.
- Car driving licence required.
- Post vacant from 1 January 2027.
