Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Level V certificate (CAP) or recognised diploma, especially in plumbing
Experience: Experience in a similar job is appreciated.
The profile they look for:
- Level V diploma in plumbing (CAP or recognised equivalent).
- Driving licence B required; PL licence is a plus.
- Knowledge of plumbing techniques and safety rules.
- Ability to read plans, manuals and technical instructions.
- Independence, punctuality and ability to carry loads.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time of 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with variable hours.
- Work possible on Saturdays or Sundays, with or without on-call duty.
- Remote work not possible.
