Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence B and up-to-date SST first aid training, required.
- SSIAP 1 fire safety diploma is a strong asset.
- Basic English to guide foreign visitors.
- Calm under pressure in emergency situations.
- Sense of responsibility, punctuality and teamwork.
- Follows hygiene and safety rules carefully.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Click the Apply on the employer's site button on the offer page. You can also send your file by email to the human resources department of the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full time, 36 hours a week, with 20 days of leave and 6 RTT days.
- May work weekends, public holidays and evenings.
- Open to disabled workers.
- Work area under video surveillance.
