Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP (vocational certificate)
The profile they look for:
- A CAP vocational certificate.
- Driving licence categories B and C.
- Able to use a street sweeper, leaf blower, brush cutter and high-pressure washer.
- Knows cleaning products and the town area.
- Motivated, careful and well organised.
- Good listening skills and comfortable talking with residents.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 21 (Closes in 18 days)
Apply on the employer's website linked from the official offer. You can also send your cover letter and CV by email to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence categories B and C required.
- No remote work: the job is done outdoors.
- Snow clearing and cleaning after events are extra tasks.
