Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A candidate who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted. Experience in catering, schools or building cleaning would be a plus.
The profile they look for:

- Be punctual, serious and organised.
- Work on your own and as part of a team.
- Respect instructions, hygiene and safety rules.
- Show professional discretion.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send a cover letter and a CV to the town hall, by post or by email. The contact details are on the official offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C job, no remote work possible.
- Regular presence during school periods, following canteen hours.
- The text gives a start date of 1 January 2026, but the position is to be filled from 4 January 2027.
