Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.

Diploma: Diploma or proven experience in the field
The profile they look for:
- Diploma or proven experience in catering
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety rules (HACCP)
- Command of basic cooking techniques
- Knowledge of cold chain processes
- Ability to handle heavy loads
- Teamwork and respect for schedules
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving the service vehicle when a regular driver is absent.
- Heavy goods vehicle licence is an advantage.
- The employer may check references and organise tests or practical work situations.
