Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Friendly, caring, a good listener and respectful of older people.
- Able to work in a team, discreet and adaptable.
- Punctual, careful and follows hygiene and safety rules.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C. Grades open: social care agent, principal social care agent 2nd class and 1st class.
- The post can be filled by a contract worker while a civil servant is being recruited.
