Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- Assess the health and needs of an elderly person.
- Help the person keep their independence in daily life.
- Apply hygiene rules and safe lifting techniques.
- Spot an urgent situation and raise the alarm.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team and pass on your know-how.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your cover letter and CV by email to the establishment's human resources department.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Daytime work of 7 hours, one weekend in two.
- Split or broken shifts possible, including weekends.
- Remote work is not possible.
- No management role.
