Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- Good physical fitness for long walks on foot.
- Good computer skills, including email, web browsing and the dedicated app.
- Good people skills, courtesy and a neat appearance.
- Discretion, confidentiality and neutrality.
- Rigour, seriousness, method and perseverance.
- Ability to read a map and find your way around.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 15 (Closes in 14 days)
Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter to the Mayor by post or by email.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Personal vehicle preferred, and a mobile phone to receive calls.
- Full availability during the 5 weeks of collection, irregular hours Monday to Saturday.
- Mandatory training provided by INSEE.
- Pay varies depending on the number of homes and people counted.
