Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: VRD road works qualification required. Driving licences B, C, BE and CE appreciated.
The profile they look for:
- Qualification in VRD road works required.
- Solid technical knowledge of road works.
- Good organisation and quick reactions.
- Able to work well in a team.
- Initiative and a sense of public service.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's site from the official offer. You can also send your cover letter and CV by email to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time, 39 hours a week, with RTT days off.
- Outdoor work in all weather, wearing PPE is mandatory.
- Occasional availability for events and special occasions.
- Certifications wanted: AIPR and CACES R 490.
