Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the adjoint technique grade (category C) is an entry grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Good people skills and a team spirit.
- Knowledge of children's rhythms and needs.
- Ability to look after a group of children.
- Rigour, independence and ability to adapt.
- Knowledge of food hygiene.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
