Civil servants and contract staff can apply. You do not need to have passed a competitive exam, because the entry grade in category C allows direct hiring.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know HACCP hygiene and safety standards.
- Know cleaning procedures for premises.
- Be able to organise your work and work as a team.
- Be able to meet children's needs for safety, emotional support and nutrition.
- Good listening skills, rigour and professional responsibility.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter by email to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Annualised hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (7:30-16:00 or 10:30-19:00), Wednesday and holidays (8:00-14:30).
- Remote work not possible.
- Benefits: CNAS, mutual health contribution, group insurance contract, twice-yearly bonuses subject to conditions.
