Civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, as the grade is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: BEP or CAP preferred. Heavy goods vehicle licence and CACES site machinery certificate optional.
The profile they look for:
- Technical knowledge of roads and stormwater networks.
- Knowledge of safety rules for road works.
- Ability to do manual work.
- Able to work hard, sometimes in bad weather.
- Good team spirit and rigour.
- Able to report back.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full time, 35 hours a week.
- Post vacant from 1 December 2026.
- Incomplete applications will not be processed.
- Work sometimes done in difficult weather conditions.
