Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service competition can be hired directly, as the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experience and/or qualification in collective catering, cooking or premises cleaning (contract hiring).
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety rules.
- Basic cooking skills: cutting, assembling, cooking.
- Ability to check product use-by dates.
- Ability to work in a team and adapt to a school setting.
- Availability and shift work.
- Sense of public service and professional discretion.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
