Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- Technical knowledge across all building trades.
- Works independently and carefully.
- Able to diagnose the town's buildings.
- Follows safety, hygiene and health rules.
- Takes initiative in urgent repairs.
- Driving licence categories B and C required.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 14 (Closes in 17 days)
Apply on the employer's website, or send a handwritten cover letter and a detailed CV by post to the human resources department of the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full time, 38 hours per week, and 18 days of reduced working time (ARTT).
- 1 on-call week per month.
- Frequent travel within the town, with a service car.
- Remote work not possible.
