Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Driving licence B required, licence C preferred.
- Good physical fitness to work outside in all weather.
- Sense of organisation and teamwork.
- Independence, versatility and initiative.
- Sense of public service.
- Politeness towards the public.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Usually works Tuesday to Saturday, exceptionally Monday.
- Exceptional work on Sundays and public holidays when the service needs it.
- Variable hours depending on the schedule, outdoor work.
- No remote work possible. No management role.
