Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A candidate who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly for this entry-level grade (category C).
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Training in green spaces, roads or public works, or significant experience in a similar job.
Experience: Beginners accepted. Experience in public space upkeep is a plus.
The profile they look for:
- Know common methods for green space or road upkeep.
- Use tools and equipment safely.
- Able to do simple maintenance and small masonry work.
- Work independently, carefully and be available.
- Hold a driving licence B, required for the job.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time job, 35 hours per week.
- Heavy goods vehicle licence is a plus.
- Remote work not possible.
- Interview with a panel for shortlisted candidates.
