Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired at this entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP Employé technique des collectivités or BEP Carrières sanitaires et sociales, or equivalent
Experience: Not stated. Experience in early childhood or collective catering is appreciated.
The profile they look for:
- CAP Employé technique des collectivités or BEP Carrières sanitaires et sociales, or equivalent
- Knowledge of HACCP standards
- Follows hygiene and safety rules
- Able to work independently, carefully and methodically
- Able to pass on information to the team and management
- Experience in early childhood or collective catering is a plus
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Works Monday to Friday, 8:45-13:30 and 14:15-16:45, tied to meal service
- Vaccinations must be up to date and an attestation d'honorabilité is required
- Works alone part of the time, with some evening meetings
