Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Master metalwork, locksmithing and building equipment upkeep.
- Use electric cutting and sharp machines safely.
- Read and write assembly notes and plans.
- Know materials and their properties.
- Manage priorities and give instructions.
- Follow hygiene and safety rules.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working hours: 7:30 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 16:18.
- Technical on-call duty possible.
- Driving licence B and electrical authorisations BS/B0 required.
