Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Level V diploma (CAP/BEP), preferably BEP electrician or equivalent
The profile they look for:
- Level V diploma, preferably BEP electrician.
- Driving licence B essential.
- Follows safety rules and equipment rules.
- Able to work on your own.
- Good with people, welcoming and service-minded.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website linked from the offer. You can also send your file by post or by email to the city's human resources department.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Shifted hours: evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Frequent carrying of heavy loads.
- Full-time job.
- Training possible: SSIAP 1, SST, electrical authorisation, working at height.
