Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly for this category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- Category B and C driving licences required.
- Able to work outdoors and do physical tasks.
- Able to work at height.
- Able to diagnose problems, act quickly and report back.
- Public service mindset, rigour, autonomy and teamwork.
- Knowledge of electrics and plumbing is a plus.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Position to fill as soon as possible.
- Remote work not possible.
- On-call duty and call-outs outside normal hours.
- Electrical authorisations, CACES and category C licence are useful; some are a plus rather than required.
