Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly for this entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of building trades.
- Ability to drive mowers and machines.
- Ability to use gardening tools, such as a chainsaw.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules.
- Ability to report a situation observed on site.
- Driving licence B required; CACES preferred.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence B required.
- On-call duty possible for service needs.
- Shift at the green waste site on Saturday mornings, about one week in five.
- Remote work not possible.
