Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Be able to work alone or in a team.
- Drive vehicles and machines within your licences and permits.
- Apply workplace safety rules.
- Spot and report faults in buildings or equipment.
- Follow instructions and hygiene rules.
- Public service mindset, punctuality and initiative.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter to the town hall's human resources department, by email or by post.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Job vacant from 1 November 2026.
- Remote work not possible.
- Open on the grades of adjoint technique.
- People recognised as disabled workers can also apply for the job by contract.
