Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the adjoint technique grade is a category C entry grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Confirmed experience wanted. Experience in school catering, cleaning or childcare is a plus.
The profile they look for:
- Be rigorous, punctual and well organised.
- Apply food hygiene rules and HACCP procedures.
- Know cleaning and disinfection techniques.
- Get along well with children and work well in a team.
- Stay alert to children's safety.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: December 1 (Closes in 29 days)
Send your CV and cover letter to the town hall, as the offer explains. You can also apply on the employer's website from the official offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence B required.
- Variable hours, sometimes split during school term.
- Wearing personal protective equipment is compulsory.
- Remote work is not possible.
