Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the post is open at the entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Ideally, similar experience (not required)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of roads, signs, painting and public space upkeep required
- Driving licence category B required
- Knowledge of safety rules and work site signage
- Electrical authorisations, CACES 1-3-5, heavy vehicle licence and welding basics are a plus
- Qualities: rigour, versatility, autonomy, team spirit, public service mindset
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 22 (Closes in 20 days)
Applications are only accepted by postal mail, addressed to the Mayor of the Mairie du Cannet. The full address is given in the official offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Outdoor work, wearing protective equipment is mandatory
- Frequent lifting and travel around the town
- On-call duty possible depending on service needs
- Remote work not possible
