Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, as the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced: at least one year in a similar job
The profile they look for:
- At least one year of experience in a similar job.
- Good skills in green space maintenance techniques.
- Knowledge of weeding methods and the related rules.
- Good people skills, versatility and autonomy.
- Follows health and safety rules.
- Driving licence B required; CACES (tractor-mower) appreciated.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your CV and cover letter to the town hall human resources department, by email (preferred) or by post. You can also apply on the employer's website linked from the official offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- Driving licence B is required.
- CACES (tractor-mower) appreciated.
- Category C job, with no management duties.
