1 Check the conditions You are here
Open to civil servants and contract agents. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Experience or training in the building trade.
- Skills in several trades: plastering, painting, plumbing, electrics.
- Able to work on your own and report to your manager.
- Driving licence B essential.
- Electrical authorisations appreciated.
- Public service mindset and good team spirit.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website or send your application by email to the town hall, before 31 October 2026.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- On-call duty possible, including weekend and out-of-hours work.
- Remote work not possible.
- Adjoint technique grades, category C.
- Position vacant from 1 November 2026.
