1 Check the conditions You are here
Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know the safety rules for using equipment and products.
- Read and understand a maintenance or assembly manual.
- Have basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics and masonry.
- Spot faults and report them.
- Judge how urgent work is and set priorities.
- Show availability, versatility, initiative, responsiveness and autonomy.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your cover letter and CV, quoting the job reference. You can apply by email to the employer or by post.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:

- For a contract worker, the contract cannot exceed one year, renewable up to 2 years in total.
