Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly for this entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence B required; heavy goods licence is a plus.
- Good knowledge of routine maintenance, repair and masonry.
- Good knowledge of health and safety rules.
- Good sense of organisation and careful work.
- Good physical fitness, punctuality and initiative.
- Able to work well in a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- On-call duty at level 2; occasional call-outs for festivities, accidents or natural disasters.
