Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. You do not need to have passed a competitive exam, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Diploma or training in green space maintenance: a plus, not required.
The profile they look for:
- Master green space and natural area maintenance techniques.
- Drive tractors up to 50 hp and ride-on mowers.
- Know tools, equipment, and health and safety rules.
- Work well in a team and follow instructions.
- Be versatile and available, including at short notice.
- Driving licence category B required.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Work in pairs, 35 hours a week on an annual basis, Monday to Friday.
- Wearing PPE and high-visibility clothing on site is mandatory.
- You may need to be available for exceptional events, such as demonstrations or bad weather.
- Remote work is not possible.
