Civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the grade offered (adjoint technique) is a category C entry grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced in an outdoor field job.
The profile they look for:
- Basic knowledge of masonry, roads and various networks.
- Experience in an outdoor field job.
- Knowledge of road signs and site safety marking rules.
- Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) rules.
- Driving licence category B required.
- Serious, physically fit, versatile, and a good team player.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence B required; licence C, CACES R482 F, electrical authorisation and AIPR operator are wanted.
- Outdoor work, possible lifting of loads, flexible hours.
- Occasional work on weekends and public holidays, winter on-call duty.
- Full time: 38 hours a week, Monday to Friday. No remote work.
