Civil servants can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade. A contract worker can be hired if no civil servant has successfully applied.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: A first experience in the public sector is appreciated.
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of hygiene, cleanliness and safety rules for public spaces.
- Knowledge of safety rules for tools and cleaning products.
- Versatility, rigour and quick reactions.
- Public service mindset and respect for users.
- Independence, teamwork and following instructions.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 20 (Closes in 19 days)
Apply using the « Postuler sur le site employeur » button on the official offer on Choisir le Service Public. Applications go to the commune’s Human Resources Department.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Post vacant from 1 December 2026.
- Direct hiring possible without a competitive exam, entry grade of category C.
- Contract worker contract limited to 3 years, renewable up to 6 years.
- Remote work not stated.
