Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experience in collective catering preferred. Experience cleaning public buildings preferred.
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of cold chain catering techniques.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety rules (HACCP).
- Skills in cleaning and maintaining premises.
- Good organisation and sense of responsibility.
- Teamwork and a sense of public service.
- Rigour, independence and ability to adapt.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your cover letter and CV to the Mayor, by post or by email. You can also apply on the employer's website listed in the offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full-time annualised hours, with schedules adapted to the service.
- Mainly works during school terms.
- Remote work is not possible.
