Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Successful professional experience.
- Ability to work in a team, with good interpersonal skills.
- Punctual, available and responsive.
- Good physical strength, especially for repeated heavy lifting.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and cleaning rules.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- A driving licence (B) is strongly recommended to move between catering sites.
- Flexible hours between 7am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.
- A medical fitness certificate is required for handling food and heavy lifting.
- HACCP and food hygiene certificates are essential.
