1 Check the conditions You are here
Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know the risks and standards of collective catering.
- Know HACCP rules and cleaning and disinfection methods.
- Pay attention to children, with a caring and educational approach.
- Work well in a team, with autonomy and adaptability.
- Hold a category B driving licence and drive a light van safely.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
