Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly for this entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Good knowledge of low and extra-low voltage electrical work.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and ERP building rules.
- Ability to read plans and draw simple diagrams.
- Use of measuring and testing instruments.
- Rigour, quick reaction and ability to work with many partners.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- The job requires knowledge of low voltage electrics and basic notions of high voltage.
- Disabled workers can also be recruited under contract, as an exception.
