Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a public exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced, at least 2 years in similar work.
The profile they look for:
- At least 2 years of similar experience required.
- Able to read a plan and use the right tools.
- Skilled with power tools (circular saw, router, sander...).
- Applies safety and prevention rules.
- Works independently and carefully.
- Category B driving licence required; C or E appreciated.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category B driving licence required.
- Mostly outdoor work, including working at height and lifting heavy loads.
- No remote work possible.
- Working time of 39 hours per week.
