Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: No diploma required. BAFA or CAP petite enfance would be a plus.
Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- Able to supervise a group of children and manage conflicts.
- Knows hygiene, safety and cleaning rules.
- Works well in a team, with adaptability and availability.
- Firm and listening with children.

2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 6 (Closes in 5 days)
Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter by email to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C job, no management duties.
- Remote work is not possible.
- A contract worker can be hired while waiting for a civil servant.
