1 Check the conditions You are here
Open to civil servants and contract staff. No competitive exam is needed, because the entry grade is category C. People recognised as disabled workers can also apply under a contract.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to use hand tools and petrol or electric power tools.
- Small masonry skills are a plus.
- Driving licence required, CACES+ requested.
- Careful, versatile and able to work alone.
- Good people skills and team spirit.
- Good physical fitness.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, using the button on the offer page. Send the requested documents.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:

- Recruitment by transfer or on a fixed-term contract.
- Open grades: technical assistant and principal technical assistant.
