1 Check the conditions You are here
Open to civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade of category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Adjoint technique grade, or equivalent diploma or experience.
- Driving licence category B required.
- Knowledge of public building safety and first aid.
- Skills: sports floor care, mechanised equipment, stock management.
- Public service mindset, teamwork, following procedures.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 6 (Closes in 5 days)
Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter by email to the town hall's recruitment department.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Extended hours, until 11pm, weekends possible.
- Heavy loads and wearing protective equipment.
- Must be able to work across all facilities.
